Women's World Cup Teams
Since its inception in 1991 the Women’s World Cup has come a long way in terms of stature, quality as well as the number of teams that are now competing in the tournament.
It's set to be the best ever
The tournament has steadily grown to include 24 of the best teams that women’s football has to offer from all around the globe.
As hosts of the tournament, France qualified for the tournament automatically, as did the reigning champions the USA.

Every other team has had to go through a rigorous qualification process in order to take to the field in France this summer.

Every continent on the planet will be represented at this year’s 2019 Women’s World Cup. Never has it been stronger, never has it been more competitive, and many think it’s set to be the best ever.
Footballers from every continent on the planet will be converging in France. Here is a run down of how many teams will be competing from each continent.

Europe has the strongest representation while Asia comes in second. North America and South America are both sending strong teams to the tournament.
Women's World Cup Groups
All 24 teams who have qualified for the 2019 Women’s World Cup will participate in the group stage of the tournament.
The teams will be split into 6 groups all containing 4 teams a piece.
The top two finishing teams from each group will qualify for the knockout stages of the tournament.
The four best third place finishers will also qualify for the knockout stages, with the remaining two third places finishers being eliminated along with the teams who finish bottom of their respective groups.
