Common types of bets you will see in our betting tips

Our betting tips will always clearly display what bet our tipster is baking for each particular game but some can be more obscure. 

Particularly in the case of games where there is a clear winner, it may be more advantageous to pick a more niched market to bet against in order to maximum value in the odds.

Full Time Result (1X2)

The most common type of bet you'll come across anywhere. Three choices, one result. You can either back the home team to win, the away team to win or on a draw. You may see this written as "1X2" - 1 stands for a home team win, X - for a draw and 2 for the away team to take the points home.

Total goals

You can also bet on the number of goals you think will occur in any given match either as under or over a particular amount. You will always see the bet written as "under 2.5 goals" or "above 1.5 goals" on BetBlazers as well as betting site.

The decimal point is to provide clarity. For example "under 2.5 goals" could be 2 or fewer goals while "above 1.5 goals" can only denote 2 goals or more.

It is also possible for our betting tips to back a total goals bet for just one team and to even combine a total goals bet with a full time result to boost the odds.

Double chance

Let's take our 1X2 full time result bet and say you're not sure on which outcome to back. A double chance bet allows you bet on two outcomes rather than just one - in any combination. For example you can back either team to win or on the home team to either win or draw. Be aware though that for the greater the potential outcomes you back the lower the odds. 

Both teams to score

Exactly how it reads! If you think that both teams will score then this is the bet for you. You can also bet on "both teams to score - no" if you think the match will be goalless. You might also see one of our tipsters write it as "X team to keep a clean sheet" if they are betting that one particular team will not concede any goals.

Draw No Bet

A draw no bet gives you the option to back the full time result but with a get out clause. You can back either the home or away team to win the match but if said match ends in a draw you do not win the bet but at same time you don't lose - you get your money back as if the bet never took place.

Halftime result

Take the same principle as a full time result but it is as if the game finished at half time. Similarly to boost your odds you can bet on both halves as if they were independent of each other - usually written as (HT/FT). Just as the game would normally start at 0-0, if you placed a HT/FT bet regardless of the real result, the second half would start at 0-0 in theory. 

Let's say the you back the home team for HT/FT and then finish the first half up 2-0 but finish the second half at 2-1. In theory they won the first half 2-0 but lost the second half 0-1.

Goalscorer bets

The easiest type of goalscorer bet is to place a bet on one particular player to score at anytime in the match, usually written "X player to score anytime". You can also bet on a player to score first or score a certain amount of goals.
