Wolves to bounceback at Molineux

Wolves' unbeaten run continues

At Molineux, Wolves have looked a formidable force. Despite only grabbing a point away at Carrow Road on Saturday, in an uneventful 0-0 draw against Norwich. The hosts actually dominated the chances in that game, but Bruno Lage's side will be confident that they can get back to winning ways, bringing their unbeaten run back to home soil. A win against a Burnley side who didn't play at the weekend due to adverse conditions would continue their strong form and give them confidence going into the Christmas run of fixtures. Their key has been Portuguese midfielder Ruben Neves, but his suspension leaves them sweating for midfield options. His range of passing and mobility in the middle of the park have been crucial in Wolves' impressive run of late, so he will be a huge miss. That coupled with Raul Jimenez's return to flying form in recent times has meant that Wolves have cracked the top six, sitting two points ahead of Man United and one ahead of Spurs. Just three points away from the Champions League spots, Bruno Lage's side will be confident of taking all three points from a Burnley side who are struggling at the basement of the table, especially away from home.

Burnley's cracks beginning to show

Wednesday's visitors have had their own struggles this campaign. While their seven points in games against Brentford, Chelsea and Crystal Palace have meant that the Clarets aren't castaways at the foot of the table, their overall form has been relegation worthy. A struggle for goals until these three fixtures was somewhat similar to Wolves' goal struggles this season. The difference being the defensive output and overall ball retention that the hosts possess, far superior to that of their opposition on Wednesday. Sean Dyche looked delighted at the postponement of his game against Spurs at the weekend. Despite the potential frustration of preparations being scuppered, the extra rest at this point in a busy season is absolute gold dust for any team, not least of all one of the perennial strugglers of this campaign. They'll be without James Tarkowski and Ashley Westwood for this fixture due to their one match suspension over accumulated yellow cards. This will certainly leave them short-handed, especially with two players that make up the spine of Burnley's set up.

This game has the makings of a low scoring match. Having said this, both sides have good reason to really grab this game by the horns. I think Wolves' quality will prevail in the end, and they'll win this game. That's why I'm backing Wolves to win with bet365.
