Goals galore in the capital
Perfect starts all round
These two sides got their Premier League campaigns off to a flying start, with the hosts beating Newcastle United 2-4 on their travels, while Leicester claimed a 1-0 win at home against Wolves thanks to a howling Jamie Vardy. Just a point separated these two sides last season, with the Foxes finishing just above West Ham in 5th. However, the Hammers were the only team to beat Leicester both home and away last campaign, with a 3-2 victory at home and a stunning 0-3 win at the King Power Stadium.
Antonio to crash Vardy’s party?
In five of the last six matches between these two, both teams scored, and this trend should continue on Monday night. This is backed up by the attacking firepower on both sides, led by two outstanding strikers. For David Moyes’s side, Michail Antonio has carried over his electric from last season, grabbing a goal in their opening game and wreaking havoc on the Newcastle backline. His direct movement and natural finishing ability means he’s always a threat when West Ham are on the attack, and I wouldn’t put it past him to bag again on Monday night. With a likely new centre-back partnership of Jannik Vestegaard and Caglar Soyuncu could give the West Ham striker more opportunities. On the other end, the obvious candidate is Jamie Vardy. Scoring on the opening day against Wolves must give him some added confidence going into this game, and with another goal taking his Premier League tally to 120 goals, level with Steven Gerrard, he looks as if he’ll continue his rich goalscoring form in the topflight. Vardy has failed to score in his past four games against the Hammers, but with this West Ham defence looking suspect at times against Newcastle, he should be on the hunt for another goal.
The European factor
This games certainly got goals in it. With a plethora of attacking talent on both sides, the likes of James Maddison, Said Benrahma and co will fancy their chances to support their frontman and perhaps get amongst the goals themselves. The Hammers were able to finally make their home advantage count last season in a campaign that saw them surpass all realistic expectations and get themselves some Europa League football. However, these added fixtures could be detrimental to their league form, especially with a lack of summer signings.
With both teams getting off to perfect starts, they’ll both be gunning to carry on this form into Gameweek 2. That’s why I’m going with Both Teams to Score with bet365.

Leicester crumbled at the London Stadium after going down to 10-men in the fist half and ended up losing the match 4-1. Thankfully, a Youri Tielemans goal sees this tip squeak through
