Unstoppable Liverpool to finally be stopped
Liverpool roared back from 2-0 down to win 3-2 against Villarreal in midweek to confirm their place in this season's UEFA Champions League final, and they'll be looking to increase their chances of regaining the Premier League title by beating Tottenham Hotspur at Anfield on Saturday night. The visitors remain an occasionally infuriating side under Antonio Conte as they pursue a top four spot, but they might just cause an upset in Merseyside. Read our preview here:
The Fab three
Fabinho was the unlikely initial architect of the Reds' comeback in Spain on Tuesday night. The Brazilian midfielder is such a key member of the midfield three, intercepting balls sprayed forwards by the opposition in droves and turns them into opportunities to counter at lightning speed. Skipper Jordan Henderson should be restored to the trio from the outset alongside Thiago; the latter has been deeply impressive, especially in recent games.
Mo Son, mo problems
Mo Salah has faced late competition from Heung-min Son at the top of the league goalscoring charts. The South Korean forward takes far fewer and more accurate shots than the Egyptian superstar but without the same level of media recognition. The gap between them currently stands at three, though it won't be the highest priority for player or club to close it. Dejan Kulusevski will be restored to the XI in place of Lucas Moura on the right of the attacking triumvirate.
Betting tip
Spurs are fresher for this match, though that has rarely seemed to be a barrier for Liverpool during their mammoth campaign. The visitors did Jürgen Klopp's side a favour a while ago with their 3-2 win over title rivals Manchester City, but that game also showed that the ingredients are there under Conte to be more than competitive in one-off games against the best in the league. bet365 have long odds of 7.00 for a Tottenham win that would be a big blow to a possible quadruple for the hosts.
