Toffees in a sticky spot as they take on Spurs
Everton on a slippery slope of form
Losing their last three league games is a far cry from the initial promising form that Rafa Benitez brought to Merseyside. Losing 2-1 at Molineux on Monday night sees the Toffees slip to 10th in the league, and are in desperate need of a pick-me-up when they take on Conte's new play-thing, Spurs.
Conte carnage
Antonio Conte's first game as Spurs manager seemingly had it all. Five goals, two red cards and two pitch invaders summed up a manic Thursday night in North London, and it seems like a sign of things to come under Conte at Spurs. Nearly letting a 3-0 lead slip showed the good, the bad, and the downright ugly of Tottenham's squad balance and current mentality. But, with time, Conte will have the opportunity to mould this squad into his own winning machine. For now, however, it seems like more of the same gung-ho performances for this Spurs side looking to bounce back from their 3-0 loss to an equally struggling Manchester United.
Everton will be desperate to get back to winning ways, but the honeymoon period of Antonio Conte is in full swing. I can see a Spurs win here, but I'm not nearly confident enough in this group of players to back that with the bookie. That's why I'm taking the neutral entertainment view and going with over 2.5 goals with bet365.
