Bruce has gone while Vieira's Eagles are on song
Palace back at the fortress
Patrick Vieira's side have had a solid start to this season, with the Frenchman bringing with him some much needed defensive solidarity. Their game on Monday to their manager's former employers and long-time worshippers saw Palace draw 2-2 to Arsenal. A late Alexandre Lacazette goal saw the Gunners snatch a point at the Emirates, leaving Vieira to rue a chance for three points gone begging. They'll look to bounce back on Saturday, and with them being back on home turf, I very much expect these Eagles to soar.
S.Bruce 1,000 OUT (Sacked Before Weekend)
The struggled tenure of Steve Bruce at Newcastle has met its exhausted end. Bruce was able to take charge of his 1,000th match at the weekend in a 3-2 defeat to Spurs. With reports of players growing more frustrated with Bruce with every passing day, he was given his marching orders. Former Roma manager Paulo Fonseca is heavily linked with the Newcastle hot seat, but it's assistant Graeme Jones who will be in charge of Newcastle's trip to Selhurst Park.
Newcastle are in a period of transition, and are still searching for their first win of this campaign. With Palace potentially welcoming Wilfried Zaha back to the lineup, I can see this being a long afternoon for Graeme Jones' side. That's why I'm going with a Crystal Palace win with bet365.
