Not much out wide
Hardly Saturday’s most appealing match in the Premier League but don’t be put off - there’s money to be made here. There’s very little chance of this one being flooded with corner opportunities and I’m finding it hard to see how either will get to seven by themselves.
Burnley are a sorry sight right now. I backed them in their match up against Wolves but how wrong I was to think they’d get something out of it. Burnley were completely overrun and never once came even close to claiming any points, or even any goals.
This time round I’m not putting any confidence in them, but against Bournemouth they will shut the Cherries down.
What all that amounts to is to a lack of corner opportunities for both sides. Burnley won’t manage more than four corners in the whole match. Against Southampton they created 5, against Watford 5, Fulham it was 4, only 2 against United and against 2 against Wolves.
In the past I’ve recommended a corners bet on Bournemouth, but to expect them to get more than 7 corners away from home against a cynical side is just too much. What’s more, if Bournemouth get a goal I don’t see them surging forward to create more potential corner opportunities. It’s likely they’ll probably settle at around 4-5 corners.
Match Tips
For this match up I’m going with neither team to win more than 7 corners at odds of 20/21 (1.95) with bet365. These are great odds considering that Burnley have failed to create that many corners in any of this season’s Premier League matches, and Bournemouth have only managed it once in their match at home to newly-promoted Cardiff.
