One point and all to play for
Wolves welcome fellow midtable outfit West Ham to the Midlands on Tuesday night for a tie that’s looking like it it could deliver goals. Wolves have been less than solid at home in recent weeks, while West Ham themselves have been all over the show. It’s a difficult one to predict but there’s value in the odds nonetheless, and with only one point between them there’s plenty to play for.
Added firepower
Wolves’ Portuguese contingent have been firing them forward this season with Moutinho, Neves, Costa, Cavaleiro and Jota claiming 14 goals all told. Diogo Jota managed to take home the match ball in their 4-3 victory at home to Leicester, while Mexican forward Jiménez always looks dangerous up front. All of their main scorers are available for the fixture.
He's sure to make an appearance
West Ham fans have had quite a bit to grumble about on and off the pitch as of late, one of their main gripes being wantaway forward and main man Marko Arnautovic. It looks like the Austrian is staying after signing a new contract at the weekend. West Ham have struggled without him and he’s sure to make an appearance in this fixture.
Leaking goals
The Hammers have only managed two clean sheets away from home this season and those came to relegation battling Fulham and Newcastle. Wolves are a different prospect altogether and the Hammers will have to dig deep if they’re to keep out Wolves’ main men.
Wolves have conceded seven in three
Molineux has hardly been a fortress for the home side. Wolves have conceded seven in their last three league matches at home so it won’t come as a shock if their London guests manage to go home with something.
Last minute action
Supporting Wolves definitely isn’t for the faint hearted. For better or for worse Nuno Espírito Santo’s side have been involved in goals in the dying minutes in four of their last five Premier League matches.
They conceded three against Midlands rivals Leicester including a Foxes’ equaliser in the 87th minute only to come back and win it in the 93rd. Add to that conceding a penalty to Palace in the 95th minute and three goals in the 83rd and 87th to seal three points against Spurs, as well as an 85th minute equaliser to earn a point against Fulham. It goes to show that they’re anything but secure and strapped up tight.
Betting Tip
I have to admit that I’ve had some recent joy when it comes to score bets and I’m sticking to my guns. I love to find those games where I think the bookies have underestimated a team’s capabilities against the odds, and I think I’ve found just that. Cast your eyes back and you’ll find their last meeting a low scorer but it’s all gone a bit pear shaped since.
Anything could happen in this match with both team’s in flux and it’s not one I want to call for a match winner. But considering Betfair are offering convincing odds of 4/5 (1.80) on both teams to score I’m well in for that.

The Hammers just didn't show up. Should've had a penalty in the first half though!
