Son to shine once more in tense North London Derby
Tottenham Hotspur must beat Arsenal in the North London Derby at home on Thursday evening to have any hope of qualifying for next season's Champions League by finishing fourth in the Premier League. A victory for Antonio Conte's charges would cut the gap to a point and a superior goal difference of at least seven, though the visitors could leapfrog Chelsea into third if the latter side drop more points away at Leeds the night before. Sonaldo
Conte's men earned a more than creditable draw at Anfield last weekend, though it did mean they lost further ground in the race for the top four. Heung-min Son scored 20 league goals for the first time in his career with his opener against Liverpool and is chasing down Mo Salah for the Golden Boot, but he and his teammates know that the transfer budget being boosted to allow Spurs to compete on a more level footing with the top two is contingent on reaching the elite competition once more. Matt Doherty, Sergio Reguilon, Japhet Tanganga and Oliver Skipp are all still out, so expect the same XI that started on Saturday.
Eddie's ready
The Gunners raced into an early two-goal advantage over Leeds through some very slack defending and a major goalkeeping error, but Eddie Nketiah is unlikely to care about that. The 22 year old striker has made the most of limited appearances in recent weeks, adding that brace to the one he got against Chelsea three weeks ago. He is sure to lead the line again, with Gabriel Martinelli possibly on the left side of the trio behind him. Thomas Partey and Kieran Tierney are both still out, so the recently returning figure of Takehiro Tomiyasu could deputise on the opposite flank once more. Cédric Soares will have the difficult job of tracking Son.
Betting tip
In the reverse fixture, Arsenal ran out 3-1 winners, though Son did score a beautiful consolation. The pressure is arguably on Tottenham, especially as an away win would not shut them out of the top four picture with two games to spare. betway have odds of 6.00 for the South Korean wide forward to double up by getting at least two.
