Saints to continue quietly impressive campaign
Southampton can move up to ninth temporarily if they can best Norwich City at St. Mary's Stadium in their Friday night Premier League clash. The doom and gloom forecast for Ralph Hasenhüttl's team before the season began has been destroyed, and three more points won against the bottom side could effectively secure their survival as a minimum in February. Kyle's got guile
The 4-2-2-2 recently employed naturally puts a lot of emphasis on the full-backs to provide the natural width. Much has been rightly made of Tino Livramento's displays down the right for the Saints, but on the opposite flank, Kyle Walker-Peters has also been impressive. The 24 year old has also recently added more goals and assists to his game, including against the likes of Manchester City. The front two of Armando Broja and Ché Adams will be a nightmarish combination for the Canaries' backline.
No Joshing about
Dean Smith's men briefly led last time out at Liverpool, but were soon overwhelmed in the second half. Now, after suffering almost inevitable defeats at Anfield and at home to the champions, games and points are starting to become a premium once more for Norfolk's only top four tier representatives. Versatile forward Josh Sargent has at times dazzled and frustrated, and wringing more of the former out of him could be key to their unlikely survival bid. The visitors should at least have some joy in wider areas in the build-up.
Betting tip
Perhaps unsurprisingly, Norwich have conceded the most in the Premier League at the time of writing, but at least under Smith, they are competitive and rarely pushovers. Parimatch have odds of 3,50 for a Southampton win with both teams finding the net.
