Goals at Bramall Lane?
Sheffield United host Crystal Palace at Bramall Lane on Sunday on matchday 2 of the Premier League. Both teams opened with draws and performed admirably but had lady luck been on their sides 3 points would not have been out of the question.
Sheffield United
When i first checked out Sheffield's squad prior to their opening game i was brutally sceptical, the first thing i noticed was that they had 4 players that were from the outside of the UK, including the back up goalie. In this day and age and the environment the Prem is currently in, not having established foreign players is just something that does not exist.
I really believed that my scepticism was warranted, but how mistaken i was. Chris Wilder's men came out and took the game to Bournemouth and really pressured them, they created multiple chances and played fun, attacking football and in the 88th minute it payed dividends.
If Sheffield manage to perform as they did against Bournemouth on a regular basis they could be in for a very entertaining season that could result in another year of featuring in the best league in the world.
Crystal Palace
Selhurst Park was last seasons lowest scoring arena so it really came as no surprise when the game against Everton ended 0-0. However, the interesting bit is that when playing away from home they suddenly open up and are involved in quite a few high-scoring games, the fact that they scored 13 more goals away from home is testament to this.
Zaha is sure to feature from start this weekend after coming off the bench against Everton and will be licking his lips at the notion of running at Sheffields iffy defence.
Crystal Palace could nearly be called specialists regarding these fixtures away from home against lower-half of the table teams and i really do fancy their chances of travelling home with something here.
Betting tip
Due to both teams featuring in a lot of high-scoring games this is in my eyes really straightforward. I will therefor be backing Over 2.5 goals at the whopping odds of 5/4 with Bethard.
