Canaries will continue to sing against QPR
Norwich City have a great opportunity to extend their lead at the top of the Championship in the lunchtime kick-off on Saturday and they may well have a field day.
The Canaries are on song
Daniel Farke has made Norwich City into the best footballing side in the Championship and he has done it with excellent recruitment, sound tactics and exceptional man management.
Any doubters he may have had at the end of last season will now be well and truly converted. The Canaries numbers are incredible.
The have won seven in a row scoring 17 and conceding just six. They have only lost once in the last 14 games in a run that has seen them beat Leeds and take points off both Sheffield United and West Brom.
This is the form of champions and, in truth, it will take a pretty incredible collapse for the Canaries not to be playing Premier League football next season.
Not so super-hoopsa
QPR are on a woeful run. They have won just once in the last 14, quite a contrast to their Yellow clad opponents.
In that run, they have managed to take just seven points from a possible 45 and have scored less than a goal per game.
Something had to give and it did. The board decided it was time for the club to part company with manager Steve McClaren and he was given his marching orders this week leaving the club, once again, in turmoil.
When the two sides met earlier this season, Daniel Farke’s side managed to pick up a 1-0 win and the Norfolk club have had the better of recent encounters in general.
In the last 10 meetings between the two sides, Norwich have lost twice, drawn two and won the other six, this trend is likely to continue on Saturday.
Attacking quartet will do the damage
The key to Norwich’s success is their attacking quartet in Onel Hernandez, Emiliano Buendia, Marco Stiepermann and Teemu Pukki. These four have been super and interchange between the lines in a manner that QPR will find very difficult to cope with.
Pukki has scored 24 goals in the Championship this season, more than any other player in the division.
As impressive as the Fin has been, he has been ably assisted by an excellent group technically gifted players.
Between the four of them, they have created a combined 112 chances, have a combined 44 goals and 31 assists.
If Norwich go up it will be, in no small part, down to these four players.
Betting tip
With Norwich in such good form, this game looks like a home banker. Add to that the woeful form QPR are in and the lack of their best defender in Geoff Cameron through injury backing the Canaries to win by four or more goals at odds of 17/2 looks a fair shout.

This one went exactly as I thought with Norwich 3-0 up at half-time and adding a fourth late on. Premier League bound.
