Napoli play host to a goal frenzy against Bologna
Napoli looking to get back on top
Luciano Spalletti's side were held to a 0-0 draw at the Stadio Olimpico against Roma at the weekend, seeing their flawless start come to an end. It wasn't through the want of trying however, with the visitors peppering Rui Patricio's goal. Striker, Victor Osimhen, had four shots at goal, smashing the woodwork on two occasions. A frustrating evening for the side from Naples, and they'll be looking to get back to winning ways on Wednesday as they host an ill-disciplined Bologna.
Bologna still hungover from a rowdy Saturday night
Thursday's visitors played host to a spectacle on Saturday night at they succumbed to a 4-2 loss to Napoli's closest title rivals, AC Milan. This game also saw Bologna get two red cards with both Adama Soumaoro and Roberto Soriano receiving their marching orders. The latter of the two will be a particularly painful pill to swallow as his captaincy is something that has helped Bologna pull off surprises against the big Italian sides for years. With his suspension, it could be a tricky journey for Bologna to Naples.
History favours the hosts
Sinisa Mihajlovic might want to avoid looking at the record books for this fixture, as his side have lost eight of their last 11 league matches with Napoli and haven't kept a clean sheet against them in their last 16 encounters. Napoli have also won in six of their last seven home ties with Bologna, further increasing their confidence going into Thursday nights game.
While Bologna have the talent up top to potentially capitalise on Napoli's very minor slip up at the weekend, Spalletti's men will have their sights firmly set on going back top. This could be an absolute belter, that's why I'm going with over 3.5 goals with bet365.

3-0 here, very close but nonetheless, a loss.
