Sunday's Serie A top of the table clash
Napoli returned to the summit of Serie A with a late win over Lazio last time out.
Having been knocked out of the Europa League last week, Luciano Spalletti’s men will be firmly focused on pushing for the Scudetto and keeping the Milan clubs at bay.
Sunday offers an enormous encounter in the title race with AC Milan travelling to Estadio Armando Diego Maradona hoping to get one over their top of the table rivals.
Gli Azzurri are favourites due to their recent form with Milan frustrated by a 1-1 draw with Udinese in their last league outing.
Process
Defensively Napoli have been outstanding in Serie A, contributing to the surprise that it was to see them breached so easily by Barcelona in their Europa League round of 32 tie.
However, with the distractions out of the way, there is an argument that they are more reliable than Inter Milan after the players that they lost in the summer.
Gli Azzurri will have their work cut out against this enterprising Milan side but the numbers make them rightful favourites.
Napoli have conceded just 19 goals from 27 games and allowing just 0.86 xGA per game, certainly a defensive process worthy of a league title and one that could provide the foundations for Napoli to finally get over the line this season.
Milan have underperformed in the final third this season and has felt the brunt of regression in recent weeks.
They have scored 53 from 42.5 xGF over the course of the season and have been a very entertaining side to follow.

Napoli should be able to grab a commanding foothold in the game, Milan can be devastating in a one of match but Gli Azzurri have been the more solid side this season and will be relishing the top of the table clash under Spalletti.
