Red Devils to close in on Champions League places
Manchester United resume their Premier League campaign on Tuesday night when Nottingham Forest come to Old Trafford. The hosts will be itching to avoid the same fate that Liverpool suffered when the strugglers beat them on their patch, but Steve Cooper's men have yet to triumph on the road. Read our preview here:
No Rash decisions
With Cristiano Ronaldo's departure from the club coming at the start of the World Cup, Erik ten Hag and his recruitment team will be in the market for a striker in the January transfer window. In the very short term, Anthony Martial is likely to spearhead the attack, and he will do so alongside a rejuvenated Marcus Rashford, who had an excellent tournament for England. In defence, Harry Maguire missed the midweek EFL Cup win over Burnley, and remains a huge doubt several days later. Casemiro could drop into the back four because of a paucity of other available options.
Orel history
Meanwhile, there are also many absences in the visitors' bloated squad - Giulian Biancone has been ruled out for the rest of the season to take just one example. In goal, Wayne Hennessey will be looking to put a poor stint with Wales behind him when he makes his first Premier League start between the sticks this term. Orel Mangala will sit in the middle of the three in midfield as he seeks to stifle Bruno Fernandes' creativity.
Betting tip
Parimatch have odds of 4.50 for Rashford to claim the first goal of the game.
