United's resurgence to stop at home to Arsenal
Manchester United have had some real positives to drawn upon on the pitch, winning the last three and keeping a clean sheet in two of those, including the Thursday fixture away to Leicester City. On Sunday however, they face an Arsenal side at Old Trafford that not only sit top, but have yet to drop a point. Read our preview here:
Ant's in his pants
Despite the protests about how the Glazers are running the club, they continue to make big outlays in the transfer market. Antony and Casemiro have been bought for a combined fee north of £150m, but neither are set to start on Sunday. With the former Ajax wide player in particular lacking match sharpness, Erik ten Hag could opt for an unchanged XI, condemning Cristiano Ronaldo to another bit-part role in the process.
Gift of two Gabs
Midfielders Mo Elneny and Thomas Partey will play no part in the big game on Sunday afternoon, nor will Oleksandr Zinchenko at left-back. Skipper Martin Ødegaard is also a major doubt after receiving a knock on his ankle during the victory over Aston Villa in midweek. Emile Smith Rowe is poised to stand in for him behind the impressive figure of Gabriel Jesus, who has contributed three goals and three assists thus far in a red shirt. The similarly named Gabriel Magalhães has been a towering presence in the back four, helping the Gunners concede under a goal a game.
