Man City to pass toughest domestic test of all
Though the winners of Sunday afternoon's gigantic clash between Manchester City and Liverpool in the Premier League won't clinch the title by that virtue, it will go a long way to forming the psychology and narrative of the games remaining afterwards. Read our preview here:
Walker on sunshine
The hosts came through their first match of a momentous sequence unscathed against Atlético Madrid in the UEFA Champions League, though they only have a one-goal advantage to take to the Spanish capital. Kyle Walker missed that bruising encounter, but should return at right-back, allowing João Cancelo to swap flanks in the process. The England international has been a big part of many decisive matches in his career, and will need to be at his level best to shut down Luis Díaz, who has had an excellent start to life on Merseyside.
Fab three
Jürgen Klopp was quick to play down the knock Fabinho sustained in the Reds' 3-1 victory over Benfica, which in turn means he'll have his whole squad to select from, a luxury their opponents don't possess. The experienced Brazilian midfielder is crucial to the counter-press, and winning the ball quickly back from the Citizens will open up opportunities for the ever dangerous front three to exploit the spaces out wide. Diaz has slotted in superbly on the left, but can play anywhere across the frontline, giving his new manager even more depth and options to change games.
Betting tip
Just as there's currently very little to separate the two sides in the league table, so it is with their clash on Sunday. Parimatch have odds of 2.10 for a home win, which must represent one of the few times in recent years Man City have been greater than evens for three points in front of their own fans.
