City to make light work of Palace
Manchester City continue to chase Liverpool at the top of the league and will no doubt come out all guns blazing against Palace on Saturday. With Aguero and De Bruyne back, Palace could lose this by quite some margin.
Betting Tip
That City will beat Palace on Saturday afternoon is pretty much a no-brainer. The big question is wether City will do just what it takes or will they raise their game and destroy Palace? I think it will be the latter. City have a hefty injury list with the likes of David Silva, Mendy, Mangala, Danilo and Kompany. But it is the first two that could really make the difference. Another potential drawback for City is that they have just played a Carabao Cup fixture on Tuesday against Leicester that required a penalty shootout. Now we have looked at the cons lets look at the pros that stand in their favour:
The team that they played in the cup, was far from their primary starting XI. Then there was last season's player of the year, De Bruyne who came back with a bang and will pushing for a start in David Silva's absence. Add to this that Aguero is back, and you can expect two world class players who will be raring to go.
Then there is Jesus who is starting to look good, as well as Sterling and Sané which makes me think that we could be looking at a goal-fest. Palace are not in the best form at the moment and have a terrible record against City losing 7 times and drawing once in the last 8 fixtures.
I think that City will go all out from the start. If we look at the stats over the season we can see that City have always started strong, especially in the first quarter of the first 15 minutes. I think there is a good chance that City will be winning by more than one goal at the break. So I am putting a bet at odds of 23/25 on City -1 Asian handicap at half time.
