Liverpool's mixed PL start set to continue
Brighton & Hove Albion head to Anfield on Saturday afternoon in the Premier League in the unfamiliar state of being ahead of their hosts in the standings at the start of October. Though Jürgen Klopp's side are unbeaten in their own backyard, they are languishing in mid-table, already way off the pace. Newly installed Seagulls head coach Roberto De Zerbi will be eyeing a first game to remember after replacing Chelsea's Graham Potter. Read our preview here:
No ordinary Joe
One of the more consistent performers for the Reds this term has been Joe Gomez, who has played the bulk of the games alongside Virgil van Dijk at the heart of the defence, which has been called into action more often than recent years because of the flux in the midfield three. There will also be a tussle up top between Diogo Jota and Darwin Núñez.
Tross a coin
Even though the away team have conceded four in the last two matches, losing against Fulham and thrashing Leicester City in the process, they still have the best defensive record in the top tier, letting in just five in total. It's unclear how much De Zerbi will shift the tactical emphasis, but he'll have almost the entire roster to choose from. Enock Mwepu has returned home from Mali ill, whilst striker Deniz Undav could be given a first start in the league after scoring in the EFL Cup. Belgian star Leandro Trossard only made two substitute appearances for his nation, so should still be fit to cut inside from the left flank and get in areas that could really hurt the opposition.
Betting tip
Casumo have generous odds of 5.25 for the points to be shared between the two sides.
