The topsy-turvy 2020/2021 Premier League season reaches its ultimate conclusion at around 18:00 local time on Sunday evening. Whilst the identities of the champions and relegated sides have been known for sometime, what has been abundantly less clear is who will qualify for what below the two Manchester clubs. Barring a massive swing in goal difference, Arsenal in ninth are the lowest ranked team who could still reach Europe via their finishing position alone (leaving aside their Europa League final showdown with United). North London rivals Tottenham Hotspur in seventh place currently occupy the very last berth, and have been rocked this week by the intention of Harry Kane to play elsewhere next year. They face a Leicester City side who will be hell-bent on avoiding the fate they suffered last term - finishing fifth after looking odds-on for a Champions League spot. Read our preview here:
Vardy party?
Dovetailing with the Kelechi Ihenacho narrative has been the lack of other contributors in the league in terms of goals. The Nigerian target man will be looking to add at least a 20th to his excellent haul in all competitions, and he has clearly eclipsed Jamie Vardy in the process. The latter, as superb as he remains, can often be streaky in terms of his scoring form. Brendan Rodgers really needs his forwards both firing on Sunday, even as expectations are starting to be downplayed once again. Tottenham's defence have been very accommodating since the turn of the year, and the pair outpace Eric Dier and Toby Alderweireld by a now considerable margin. Elsewhere, Timothy Castagne could retain his spot as the right-sided centre back of the trio, and it will be fascinating to see who lines up in the hole behind the prolific duo.
Sergi-oh
Spurs' revival was once again squashed before it had even began in earnest by a self-inflicted defeat to Aston Villa in midweek, which leaves their hopes of participation in Europe in 2021/2022 on a knife-edge. Left-back Sergio Regulión had a nightmareish match, scoring a spectacular own goal and directly contributing to Ollie Watkins' winner with a woefully underhit back pass to Hugo Lloris. Naturally, any side that still contains the likes of Harry Kane and Heung-min Son will always have a shout in any contest, but with the former wanting away and the fans angry over many of owner Daniel Levy's decisions of late, it is not a happy camp by any stretch of the imagination.
Fantastic Mr. Foxes
In theory, that should all lead to a Leicester victory. Both sides need wins to meet their goals, and even then in the Foxes' case, it might not be sufficient if results elsewhere go against them. However, Chelsea have a tricky away trip at Villa, and that is far from a walkover. In lieu of going for a straight win, bet365 have odds of 3.25 that Rodgers will complete a fine season with both the FA Cup and entry to the Champions League after a five-year absence.
