Two leaky backlines meet at the King Power
Leicester City will be aiming to lift themselves off of the foot of the table in the Premier League when they host Crystal Palace in this weekend’s Saturday lunchtime kickoff.
The Foxes were unable to build on the promise that they showed in victory over Nottingham Forest when they went down 2-1 at Bournemouth last time out, but back at the King Power Stadium they should be able to cause problems against a fairly leaky Palace side.
Patrick Vieira’s men have not been as impressive at the start of this season as they finished last, losing the Conor Gallagher effect back to Chelsea in the summer, but they will have built some confidence within the group with a 2-1 victory over Leeds United at the weekend.
Process
The visitors have been very poor defensively so far this season, with Joachim Andersen and Marc Guehi not hitting the standards that they set last term.
Palace have conceded just 12 from chances equating to 16.1 expected goals (xG) against in eight outings, allowing shots on their own goal at an average of 2.01 xGA per game.
Posting a far more negative process than last season, albeit only eight matches into the campaign.
Leicester have overperformed to score 15 goals from 9.7 xGF in nine outings, proving to be something of overs bankers at the start of the campaign.
The Foxes have been very poor defensively, letting in 24 from 16.2 xGA at the start of the campaign.
Leicester have the players to pull themselves out of trouble and improve their attacking process, but the backline has been an issue carrying over from last season and may limit how clear of the drop conversation they can drag themselves.

Does feel to be on the cards, the Foxes have improved going forward in the last few weeks and Palace seem vulnerable.
