Red Devils to continue humiliation of rivals Leeds
Leeds United and Manchester United will go head-to-head on Sunday afternoon at Elland Road, both looking to improve their lots in the Premier League. The hosts have conceded six in their previous two matches, whilst the visitors often play poorly in at least one half. Read our preview here:
James in the frame
One very familiar face in the home lineup to visiting fans will be Dan James. In Patrick Bamford's absence, the versatile Welsh forward has often been the nominal striker in Marcelo Bielsa's side, and he'll be counting on the craft and clever movement of Rodrigo and Raphinha behind him to unsettle the back four in red. James' brace against Aston Villa helped the Yorkshire outfit rescue a point, and a more consistent goal return is required from him whilst his teammates in defence are so leaky.
Bruno, no no
Ralf Rangnick will almost certainly have one eye on his team's Champions League clash with Atlético Madrid when he selects the XI on Sunday. Though they triumphed in midweek against 10 man Brighton & Hove Albion, many individual performances were still short of expectations. Bruno Fernandes has started to recapture his early season form at least, and his vision will have Leeds thinking back to his masterclass at destroying their offside trap in August.
Betting tip
Though Man Utd haven't pulled up trees in any competition during 2021/2022, they do seem to be able to dominate their fierce rivals Leeds, having put 11 goals past them in their last three meetings. The hosts' defence is looking quite suspect at present, so odds of a Red Devils win with over 2.5 goals in the game at 2.62 appear a shoe-in.
