Terriers to get back to winning ways at Hull
Huddersfield Town can continue their surprising EFL Championship play-off challenge when they visit Hull City at the MKM Stadium on Friday night. The Terriers were on the end of a sound 3-0 defeat at the hands of second place AFC Bournemouth before the international break, but that should be more of a blip than an indication they'll fall short in the run-in. Baxter's recipe
The gap between the hosts and the 'top' relegation spot stands at a massive 13 points despite Georgian playing legend and now manager Shota Arveladze's side sitting in 20th. Only a complete collapse paired with an unprecedented combination of results for Barnsley will see that difference disappear. One of the better individual players this season in orange and black has been goalkeeper Nathan Baxter. The Chelsea custodian, now in his seventh loan spell away from the London giants, has noticeably helped to shore up a leaky backline. Elsewhere, Brandon Fleming has risen to prominence this year in a left wing-back role, and the roster is almost injury-free.
Levi's smart
Carlos Corberán has masterminded a top six tilt that, like David Wagner before him a few years ago, has taken everyone by surprise. Whilst their place is far from assured, a decent points haul in the last seven games ought to be enough. A positive result on Friday night will need to be achieved without loanee Faustino Anjorin, who injured his back whilst on duty with England U20s. Tom Lees and Levi Colwill could be the pairing tasked with stopping an out-of-sorts Tom Eaves from rediscovering his scoring touch. The latter of the duo is a rare breed, starting regularly as a stopper at just 19. Strong in the tackle and comfortable on the ball, he has a bright future ahead of him in the game.
Betting tip
Huddersfield aren't prolific, and Hull even less so. The majority of the visitors' victories are low scoring affairs, and there's little reason to doubt that that will also be the case under the lights and TV cameras on Friday night. Parimatch have odds of 2.70 for another win to bolster their play-off hopes.
