Draw specialists Defensa y Justicia to get another
Having drawn their opening three matches of the Primera División campaign, Defensa y Justicia head to the province of Mendoza to take on Godoy Cruz at the Estadio Feliciano Gambarte. The hosts have the same number of points from their first three fixtures, and it should be a tightly contested affair. Read our preview here:
A Barrios to improvement
Favio Orsi took over as head coach in April, replacing former Leeds United assistant manager Rodolfo Diego Flores. This is the 48 year old's first job in the top tier of Argentina. The opening three matches have seen one win, two defeats, and the same number of costly red cards. Right-back Néstor Breitenbruch misses out as a result of his supension, paving the way for Elías López to push further up the flank. In the heart of defence, Pier Barrios has been targeted already this term aerially, and he needs some help from his teammates to prevent that from becoming a bigger problem for Tomba.
Far from Rotondi
Having finished as runners-up to River Plate in 2021, it has been a slow start this season for Sebastián Beccacece, who is currently enjoying his most successful spell in charge of the team for a third separate stint. Lining up in a 4-2-3-1 has seen them hard to break down on the counter, but they can afford to be a little less cautious in their approach on Monday evening. Left winger Carlos Rotondi hit the target last time out for Halcón, and the even distribution of goal threats in the attacking quarter should give the hosts plenty to think about.
Betting tip
That said, there hasn't been a true cutting edge yet for Defensa y Justicia, and they may have to settle for another share of the spoils. bet365 have odds of 3.40 for a draw with Godoy Cruz.
