Lethal Tottenham visit a ravaged Burnley
Tottenham travel to Turf Moor on Monday to face off against Burnley during Premier Leagues gameweek 6. Tottenham can climb as high as 3rd if they win whilst Burnley will be desperate to leave the relegation zone behind them after only managing to muster 1 point from their 4 first games.
Tottenham
The Spurs have managed to score a whopping 15 goals during their first 5 outings, the divisions joint highest. They have undeniably been very entertaining to watch but they have not really managed to translate their goal-haul into points, as of yet at least.
Unfocused defence
Mourinho's lads can be found at 9th after amassing 2 wins, 2 draws and a defeat. However, both draws should have, without a doubt, ended in victory after conceding goals in the 97th and 94th minute respectively. This was definitely down to Tottenhams careless and clumsy defending rather than the opponents attacking prowess meaning that if the defence stays focused towards the end of games, the points should soon follow.
Given the crazy form Kane and Son are in, this fixture will definitely be seen as a great opportunity of climbing the table against one of the leagues worst performing teams.
Burnley
The Clarets, despite still being early days, find themselves in somewhat of a crisis-mode after having lost their 3 first games along with playing out a drab draw against fellow bottom-dwellers West Bromwich.
Total collapse
The usually astute defence has been nowhere to be seen given that they conceded 8 goals in their first 3. This also has the potential of getting so much worse since they now have to contend with the divisions most lethal attack.
Tough times
There is currently no light at the end of the tunnel either due to Burnley's incredibly thin squad with the main culprits being injuries and a lack of investment during the transfer-window.
Nothing points towards Burnley being able to match Tottenham anywhere on the field, all they can do is brace themselves for what is to come and then look towards the future.
Betting tip
Tottenham are by far the better side of the pair which is why i will be backing a Tottenham (-1) handicap win at 2.60 with Bet365.
