Away day specialists Marseille to get another win
Friday night sees the resumption of Ligue 1 after the international break, with Angers SCO playing hosts to Marseille at the Raymond Kopa Stadium. The visitors have yet to lose in the league and sit just two points behind leaders PSG. Read our preview here:
A straight Bat
Head coach Gérard Baticle will be hoping that the halting of SCO's recovery by the pause in club football is just a brief moment, rather than a reversion to the awful earlier form that had them languishing at the foot of the table. Luckily, talisman Sofiane Boufal's suspension has been rescinded, so he should be able to take some of the pressure off striker Abdallah Sima, who has yet to net in a black and white shirt.
Alexis on fire
Meanwhile, away from the Champions League at least, new manager Igor Tudor can do no wrong at the helm, with his charges scoring lots of goals and conceding very few. One of the most notable triumphs to date has been the performances of Alexis Sánchez. The veteran forward had experienced a torrid few years at Manchester United and then Inter, where an improvement at the latter club still had him used more than not as a substitute. At the Stade Vélodrome however, he has crashed in four goals already, with plenty of fresh options behind him in attack to help do the damage in the final third.
Betting tip
bet365 have odds of 9.00 for a 2-0 win for Marseille, a result which will see them go top, at least temporarily.
