Liverpool vs. Leicester City: Match Preview
Liverpool host the Foxes mid-week as they'll hope to put some some distance between Man City at the top of the table. The Reds have not quite been themselves over the past few fixtures, losing to Wolves in the FA Cup and inching past Brighton 1-0 and Crystal Palace 4-3. Liverpool will praying that Van Dijk will be fit to play, he missed a training session because of illness but it is expected that he will be fit to face Leicester.
The Foxes have not been in good form of late, losing to Newport County in the FA Cup and then to Southampton and Wolves in the Premier League. At best, their form over the whole season has been erratic, in December they beat both Chelsea and Man City before losing to Cardiff City.
Leicester City who are ninth, are not quite the team they were when they won the league, but they are still capable of beating anyone on their day. It will, however, be a really tough task ahead of them this week, as Liverpool are incredibly strong at home, having not lost at Anfield in 32 games. They'll definitely miss Maguire if it's confirmed that he will not be back from injury for this game.
