The Old Lady to put Zenit to the sword in Russia
Zenit getting amongst it
Back to back losses for the Russian champions has been a recent concern in an otherwise good start to their domestic campaign. Zenit lost two consecutive games by the same 2-1 deficit to Sochi and Arsenal Tula, perhaps a sign of their dominance over Russian football being turned around slightly. Their European campaign has also been a mixed bag, with a tight loss at Stamford Bridge opening their group stage matches followed up by a dominant 4-0 win at home against Malmo. But their record against some of Europe's elite hasn't made for pretty reading, and they'll have to take points from the top two sooner rather than later.
Allegri finding his groove in Turin
After a fairly rocky start to the season, Juventus have found their rhythm and seem to be getting things going with Allegri's return at the start of the season. Two wins from two, including an impressive win against reigning champions Chelsea and a convincing victory against Malmo. A fantastic run of form has been recently added to by a controversial 1-0 win against Roma at the weekend, and Juve are on a roll right now.
The mean Kean machine
An interesting storyline this season is the continued growth of Moise Kean. While he was jokingly referred to as the "Ronaldo replacement" when he came into the side, but his form has been excellent and has been key to Juventus' revival. While Federico Chiesa should rightfully been claiming the recent plaudits, Moise Kean has stepped up to the plate and has been fantastic for Juventus and looks likely to start in Russia.
This game has a tonne of potential to be a fascinating tactical battle. Trips to Russia in European competition are never a walk in a slightly chilly park, but I'm backing Juve to get the job done in St Petersburg. That's why I'm going with Juventus to win with Betway.
