Fulham's momentum to end in London derby
West Ham United host Fulham on Saturday evening as they look to push back into the top half of the table, as one of the sides that have seen performances more positive than results in the early knockings of this campaign. The London derby is completed by visitors from the West in Fulham who got their first win of the season on Monday evening over fellow strugglers West Bromwich Albion. David Moyes’ men are odds on favourites which does not come as a surprise, with the efforts we have seen from Michail Antonio and Jarrod Bowen who will stretch an already vulnerable Cottagers backline.
Market
With Fulham sat just four points and three places behind the Hammers it may come as a surprise to see the hosts so short with the bookmakers, however for me they are priced up just about right, still a value put at around 1.8. Whereas the expected goals table tells a completely different story, the Hammers are ninth compared to the Cottagers 16th and are in the division top eight for both expected goals for and expected goals against. Scott Parker’s men reside in the bottom six for each of those metrics.
Angles
A both teams to score punt is also an appealing angle, despite an impressive start, West Ham do not have a strong backline on paper and one that was exposed time after time for large periods of last season. Fulham have created over one expected goal in their last four matches, and would be confident of doing so again. Dynamic players like Ademola Lookman, Bobby Decordova Reid and Frank Zambo Anguissa have contributed heavily to this upward trend, buoyed by the Monday evening victory and the Cottagers should cause problems, particularly with pace in the transition. This bet would have come in four of West Ham’s last five matches also and can be found at around 1.75 with most bookies.
Recent meetings
The Hammers have won the last four of the last five matches between these two, as the Cottagers slumped to a 19th place finish where they only racked up 26 points in their last Premier League spell in 2018/19. Michail Antonio got on the scoresheet in the last head-to-head at this level and looks likely to do so again, you can get him at 2.05 with 888sport.
West Ham should have too much for newly promoted Fulham as they look to move up the table.

West Ham grinded it out, we can thank Ademola Lookman for this green light.
