City to continue winning ways
Man City are enjoying a busy match schedule at the moment. On Tuesday they take on Watford, three days after playing Bournemouth and four days before their clash against Chelsea. I predicted that they would produce a luke-warm performance against the Cherries, which they did by their own standards by 'only' winning 3-1 against Bournemouth. But, this time I think that the margin will be even greater as Agüero and David Silva are back in the starting eleven.
Watford
Watford were really disappointing against Leicester over the weekend, losing 2-0 without threatening the Foxes in any way. I really expected a little more from them against a defensively frail Leicester team. 0 shots on goal for Watford says it all. They got off to a flying start in the league but now the losses are piling up. Pereyra seems to have lost his mojo, and was subbed off in the 55th minute over the weekend, and Deeney, the once reliable goalscoring tank up-front was on the bench. No, against Man City this Watford team won't put up much of a fight. There are no new injury concerns for Watford.
Manchester City
Manchester City just keep on racking up the wins to cement their lead in the Premier league. Against Bournemouth they decided to leave out Agüero and bench David Silva to keep their main men fit for the upcoming fixtures, even Walker was left out. This rotation was a necessity if you consider that just a few days before they had played their best XI against Lyon in the Champions League. The question now is if this City team will be a little sluggish as they face Watford away. I don't think they will be, in fact I think they'll easily beat them. Sure, they may be missing Sterling and Sané but at the same time they'll have Silva, Agüero and Walker back. They will also have players like Mahrez who will be nicely rested having made only a substitute appearance on the weekend.
Betting Tips
Man City will not want to lose any points to a Watford team that is struggling for form. I think the Sky Blues will rack up the goals in this match, especially with players like Agüero, Silva and Walker eager to play after a rest. City -1.5 Asian handicap at odds of 9/10 with Bethard is my bet and I'll be putting a lot on this.
