Inter to kick on in Turin
Inter Milan travel to Torino on Sunday evening in looking to bolster their bid to retain the league title.
Simone Inzaghi’s men are currently second, behind AC Milan, but crucially with a game in hand and they travel to Liverpool for the second of their Champions League round of 16 tie in midweek. Inter are favourites to win the Serie A title even with Milan and Napoli’s impressive performances this season, that comes with its own pressure when they are taking on one of the meanest defences in the league on their patch.
Inter are heavy favourites but at a backable price and given their underlying numbers all season long, there is a chance to get the best team in Serie A onside.
Process
Torino have the second best defence in the league according to expected goals (xG).
The Bull have conceded 28 goals from 26.0 xGA at an average of 0.96 per game.
Only Napoli have been firmer than Torino and if they were better going forward they would be knocking on the door of the European places.
Inter have been outstanding going forward even after losing Romelu Lukaku, and will be confident of settling down back into league matches with it likely they exit the Champions League at Anfield.
Inter have scored 60 goals from 61.2 xGF at an average of 2.27 xGF per game, very healthy and even with Torino’s quality defensive process, they will be confident of getting on the scoresheet.
Goals?
An unders punt is quite enticing with Inter potentially a little tired from the trip to Liverpool.
An outright is a little too tempting though.

Torino have seen over 2.5 goals in four of ten.

Torino are tough opposition but with little to play for Inter may have an edge.
