Another goals galore?
Sweden face Thailand after very contrasting starts to their World Cup campaigns. Sweden come off the back of a late win against Chile whilst Thailand show up after their 0-13 demolition at the hands of the U.S and A. Will the South East Asians get hammered once again or will they be able to keep the score down?
Sweden
The ladies in yellow managed to beat Chile but left it very late after missing a whole host of opportunities throughout the game. Despite missing a load of chances, Sweden's attack was overall pretty blunt which is worrying as this has been the case for quite a while.
Although, the lack of firepower up top could just be a matter of nerves as is the case for many teams during their opening games. The Swede's have a whole host of quality players up top with the talented Kosovare Asllani leading the lines which is why i do think that Sweden will step it up very soon.
Thailand
After their miserable World Cup opener against the USA, Thailand's confidence should be shot to bits having lost with a whopping 13 goals to nil. The fact that they are up against another top 10 ranked team will do their confidence no favours either.
However, a loss of this magnitude is an anomaly for the Thai's. Not that they do not lose but that they usually do not lose with this much, good examples being defeats to France and Italy with 3-0 and 4-0 respectively.
If they can gather themselves and put in a good defensive display there is always the chance that they keep the scoreline down against the Swede's.
Betting tip
I think Thailand will go into this very defensive minded, that coupled with the fact that Sweden are slow starters and left it late against Chile i will be backing second half with most goals at 83/100 with Bethard.
