The Tuchel effect?
Sheffield United welcome Chelsea to Bramall Lane on Sunday during the Prem's gameweek 23. Sheffield have finally seemed to turn their fortunes around whilst Chelsea look improved after Tuchel's appointment making this an interesting game from a betting perspective.
Sheffield United
Despite the Blades still being rockbottom in the table with only 11 points to their name and 11 points up to safety, there is no denying that things are looking up for Sheffield.
Significant improvement
Chris Wilder's men registered their first win of the season only a few weeks ago against Newcastle and have since managed an additional two wins against the likes of Manchester United and West Brom bringing their tally to 3 wins and 2 defeats in their last 5. Furthermore, their 2 defeats came against Tottenham and Manchester City in rather tight affairs making players and fans alike feel a little bit better about themselves.
This is Sheffields last game against top-tier opposition in a little while and going by how the Blades have performed lately, it would not surprise me if they eventually manage to mount a great escape. However, winning even a point against Chelsea is a tall ask at the moment.
Chelsea
Thomas Tuchel's unbeaten start at Chelsea was extended after their 0-1 victory in their derby win against Tottenham, a scoreline that could have, in Chelsea's favour, been much higher had they not wasted a few significant opportunities.
Immediate impact
Tuchel has succeeded in making an instant impact on this Chelsea side that looked tired and inefficient during Lampard's dying days. Not only has Chelsea's defence looked really solid, their offence seems to have clicked somewhat with Timo Werner and Callum H-O playing important roles in the German coaches plans and tactics.
Chelsea are yet to concede since Tuchel's appointment and if they perform as they have, Sheffield will have a very, very hard time finding a way through.
Betting tip
Chelsea have performed admirably as of late and i believe they will be too much for Sheffield to handle which is why i will be backing a Chelsea win at 1.47 with Betway.
