Always a Real classic
Real head to Seville looking to address a poor record at the Estadio Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan - just once in the last six seasons have Los Blancos run out victorious in this fixture. Which way will this one go?
Current form
The hosts are a hard one to work out so far. After putting four past Rayo Vallecano in their La Liga opener, Sevilla preceded to take just 1 point from their next 3 games. Included in this was a surprising 0-2 reverse at home to Getafe. They’ve come full circle though trouncing Standard Liege 5-1 in the Europa League and also hammering Levante 6-2 in the league where they sit with 7 points from their 5 games played.
Real Madrid meanwhile, have yet to show they're missing Cristiano Ronaldo. In fact, as thought, the sale of arguably their greatest ever player has granted Benzema and Bale more responsibility, from which they’ve, so far, thrived. A 100% record from their first three which included two successive 4-1 victories over Girona and Leganes was halted by Athletic Bilbao. But they responded in positive fashion with wins against Roma and Espanyol in the Champions League and domestically where they sit level with Barcelona on 13 points at the top.
Head-to-head
Every side has their bogey team or a fixture they just do not succeed in and for Real Madrid, playing Sevilla away from home is that game. One win on this ground in the last six years proves this is far from a happy hunting ground for Real. Conversely, Sevilla will be rubbing their hands together at the thought of this upcoming clash.
In terms of the fixture as a whole, the home team tends to enjoy the occasion most; 11 out of the last 12 has seen the hosts prosper, while if you’re looking for a high goal return in a game then this is certainly it going by recent scorelines - it certainly isn’t one where the defences come out on top that’s for sure.

Match Tip
Both have already proven their capabilities in front of goal thus far and I fully expect them to carry such form into this game. I can see Sevilla, 11 goals in their last two, certainly troubling Real, especially with Wissam Ben Yedder enjoying a rich vein.
This said, I really don't expect Real to lose this - history suggests though I should be wise not to back them fully.

It happened again for Real Madrid against their bogey team. Blown away in the opening 20 minutes by the hosts, Real conceded a crucial third before half time to kill any hope of a comeback. Comprehensive win for Sevilla and well deserved.
