Wales' WC play-off warm-up to end in a draw
Wales will face either Ukraine or Scotland in the FIFA World Cup qualification play-off on Sunday, but must first face Poland in the maiden match of their UEFA Nations League pool at the Tarczyński Arena in Wrocław. Read our preview here:
Cash for questions
Aston Villa right-back Matty Cash was eligible to be called up for Biało-czerwoni through his mother, and has now made the berth in new boss Czesław Michniewicz's defensive quartet his own. A tough tackler and effective in the final third, the 24 year old gives solidity and support down the flank to his teammates. With only Jakub Moder missing through injury, it should be an almost full-strength lineup for the hosts.
Moore than a feeling
Rob Page is saving the likes of Ben Davies, Joe Rodon, Aaron Ramsey, and Gareth Bale for the far more meaningful game at the weekend, whilst Swansea City's Ben Cabango will sit out both games. Bale aside, the attack-minded players should be the same as normal, with target man Kieffer Moore reliably leading the line. Despite playing just 142 minutes in an AFC Bournemouth shirt since signing for the Cherries in January, the striker has hit four goals, helping them to promotion back to the Premier League as runners-up.
Betting tip
With Belgium and Netherlands facing off in the other group game and only top spot qualifying, both Poland and Wales have their work cut out to mount a meaningful challenge. The latter side's focus will almost certainly be on Sunday, but they have proven almost regardless of personnel in recent games to very tough to break down and beat. Causmo's odds of 3.45 for a draw look ideal as a consequence.
