North Macedonia vs. Netherlands
North Macedonia and the Netherlands of group C clash during the last round of games before the playoffs. The Netherlands are already guaranteed passage to the round of 16 while the Macedonian's are all but guaranteed to finish bottom of the group, thereby missing out on the playoffs.
North Macedonia
Coach Igor Angelovski and his men were outclassed against both Austria and Ukraine, plain and simple. They managed to qualify by winning their Nations League group, the lowest possible rung, which says all you need to know about how they got here in the first place.
The Macedonian's have, during the Euro's, conceded five whilst scoring two, a goal-difference that should honestly be much worse. Furthermore, one of those goals was courtesy of a penalty and the other was thanks to some seriously questionable Austrian decision making.
All in all, it's been a tough tournament for the eastern Europeans and they will be bracing for yet another negative result come Monday.
Netherlands
The Dutch will be elated that they are already through to the next round, even more so due to the fact that all three of their group games will have been on their home turf, meaning that they have been able to really feel and soak in the atmosphere around them.
The Dutch suffered a serious scare against Ukraine where they had full control and 2-0, only to concede two goals and then retake their lead in the 85th minute. However, they learned their lesson and produced a solid performance against Austria, whom they beat with 2-0.
Due to the Dutch already being through to the next round, changes to the starting XI are expected. However, despite these changes, coach Frank De Boer and his men should still be able to outclass the Macedonians by a mile.
