Napoli's woes to continue?
Its a big one this weekend when Napoli entertain Internazionale Milano at the massive Stadio San Paolo. Both teams went into the winter break victorious and will definitely be wanting to keep that going here in this crunch game.
Napoli
I Partenopei sacked Ancelotti with two games left until vacation which was a little odd at the time seeing how they had just beaten Genk with 4-0 to secure their advance to the Champions League knockout round but they obviously felt it necessary.
Is Gattuso the right man?
His replacement, Gennaro Gattuso was unlucky to lose his first game in charge against Parma while winning his next against Sassuolo in the 94th minute courtesy of an own goal. Two weeks is naturally not long enough of a time to implement his ideas and playing style but Napoli had the same issues they have had throughout the whole season.
Ability to score up in smoke
The blues dominate games in every manner, except the goalscoring department. They nearly always have a majority possession, more shots on/off target, more corners, more of basically everything but the caveat is that they just cannot score.
Napoli's record of 6 wins, 6 draws and 5 losses is near catastrophic when glancing over their team-sheet but the manner in how they lose and draw is very telling. Every one of their five defeats came by a single goal and every single one of their draws came after dominating the game.
Truth be told it is probably merely a question of not if, but when they find their goalscoring boots again, Inter will be hoping it is not on Monday.
Internazionale Milano
Highflying Inter have had a fine season thus far amassing a very impressive 13 wins, 3 draws and a single defeat (against Juve) leaving them in 2nd, level on points with leaders Juventus but behind due to their head-to-head record.
Scarily effective on the road
Antonio Conte's men are Serie A's best away side boasting a record of 7 wins and a draw whilst managing a league best of 19 goals and 8 conceded, they mean business.
Could this be the year?
Talks of Inter being able to properly challenge Juventus for the Scudetto have definitely proven to be far from unjustified and given how well Martinez and Lukaku are performing together this could finally be the year Juve capitulate the title.
The fact that Napoli are probably going to be missing both Koulibaly and Maksimovic will have Inter's frontline licking their lips further increasing the odds of an Inter win which was nearly unthinkable a year ago.
Betting tip
I will be keeping it simple. Given Napoli's troubles and the fact that they might be missing both of their centre backs i will be backing an Inter Win at 7/4 with Betway.
A fantastic bet for those looking to parlay is Inter Draw or Win at 53/100
