City to kickstart their season?
Manchester City welcome Burnley to the Etihad on Saturday afternoon during the Prem's gameweek 10. Manchester City's start to the season has been disappointing at best, they can be found at 13th whilst Burnley's start has been even worse with the Clarets currently sat at 17th. Will either of them be able to kickstart their seasons or will this end in a stalemate?
Manchester City
The citizens fell to a deeply disappointing defeat at Tottenham last weekend with 2-0 after having dominated every aspect of play except for the goals. However, City managed to bounce back during their midweek bout at Olympiakos which they won with 0-1.
A little leeway
The victory was not only important for troop morale but also because City have no officially qualified for the next round of the Champions League with 2 games left giving them significant breathing room.
Troubles in front of goal
A common theme in both games as well as in City's season as whole was their difficulty in front of goal. Guardiola's men have only mustered a meek 10 goals in their 8 outings which greatly pales in comparison to previous seasons.
City's position in the table is far from acceptable but luckily for them, their coming fixtures are fortunate ones, starting with this bout against Burnley which they should win, easily.
Burnley
The Clarets registered their first win of the season when they saw off Crystal Palace at home with 1-0 last weekend. Crystal Palace were missing talisman Zaha which was more than apparent but, a win is a win.
Dark days ahead
Sean Dyche's men have endured a torrid start to the season registering 1 win, 2 draws and a startling 5 defeats. Whats worse is that Burnley's fixture list after this City game includes bouts against Everton, Arsenal, Aston Villa and then Wolverhampton meaning that things can get real bad real quick for the Clarets.
Burnley had been majorly unlucky with injuries and sickness since the start of the season and once they get back to full strength i do not doubt that the results will follow, however, that is yet to happen meaning all they can do is endure during this tough period.
Betting tip
Manchester City might have had their issues so far but they are nothing in comparison to Burnley's which is why i will be backing Manchester City to win and both teams to score - no at 1.80 with Betway.
