The chase is on
Manchester City welcome Leicester City to the Etihad this coming Saturday in what is increasingly looking like the race for second. Will they share the spoils or will one of them edge ever so slightly towards Liverpool?
Manchester City
The current Champions have hit a few snags in recent times and find themselves a staggering 14 points behind Liverpool with the same amount of games played. The Citizens have only won three of their last six domestic games with two of them ending in defeat and the third a draw at Newcastle.
Guardiola with a dip in form
This is Guardiola's lowest points haul ever during his managerial career this far along in a season which speaks volumes about how successful he has actually been. It was bound to happen at some point, no matter what anyone says.
Defensively frail
City's weakness lies within their defensive capabilities with the departure of Company and a heavy injury blow to Laporte diminishing their previously rock-solid defence. The fact that they have conceded an average of a goal a game and have not kept a clean sheet in seven outings (bar the one against a horrendous Arsenal side) is proof enough.
Leicester
Rodger's men are taking the Prem by storm and are not only well on their way towards securing a Champions League spot but also still in contention for the league title.
Surprising title challenge yet again
The foxes are currently sat second, 10 points behind Liverpool and 4 points above Saturdays opposition which is honestly a feat in itself when comparing squads.
Conceding but still winning
Leicester's defence is one of the leagues sturdiest but even they are susceptible to dips in form which may explain why they have conceded in three of their last four. But where their defence falter, their frontline steam ahead which can be seen in the fact that they have scored in every single game since September.
