The Reds take another step towards glory
High-flying Liverpool face off against already relegated Huddersfield at Anfield on Friday and this is a must win game if the red's want a chance at lifting the Premier League trophy for the first time ever.
Liverpool
What a season Klopp's men are having, they've only lost once in the league and that came away to City which is hardly shameful. On Tuesday they do battle against a Barcelona side having an equally successful and i honestly cannot wait but before that, a miserable Huddersfield side is on the menu and all signs are pointing towards another dominant showing from the home team. Pool's stats are really quite staggering, they've won 15 and drawn 2 at home, score an average of 2.19 goals a game, shipped a mere 20 goals and have kept 19 clean sheets. Need i say more? Even if they decide to rotate a bit (which i highly doubt they will) the bench will be more than enough to see off a poor Huddersfield side.
Notable absentees
Fabinho, Lallana, Lovren and Oxlade.
Huddersfield
Apologies in advance to any Hud's fans but i really have nothing positive to say about them. They are dead last with a meagre 14 points (how is that even possible?), they've lost 13 out of their 17 away games so far and have shipped an astounding 69 goals, second to last only because Fulham's defence have somehow managed to outdo the Terrier's despite having 9 more points. Huddersfield have lost 20 of their last 22 games. 20/22. I rest my case.
Notable absentees
Does it even matter?
Betting tip
In my eyes, their is only one outcome which is why i will be backing a Liverpool win and clean sheet at 57/100 with Bethard.
For the thrillseekers out there a Liverpool (-2) handicap win at 11/20 is also enticing.
