Inzaghi's goodbye?

Lazio and Bologna round off gameday 37 of this years Serie A at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome. Lazio are flying high after having beaten Atalanta in the Coppa Italia final whilst Bologna have definitively managed to haul themselves out of relegation danger.

Lazio

Simone Inzaghi and his men should be proud of what they have accomplished in recent times, the cup win being one of the bigger accolades available in Italy.

I Biancocelesti have had quite an uneven season with a lot of highs and lows, their home record is nothing above average with 9 wins, 4 draws and 5 defeats but they've had a bad habit of losing points to teams they really shouldn't, a perfect example being Lazio's 1-2 loss at home to Chievo which basically ended their Champions League dreams.

Since Le Aquile have yet again missed out on the coveted Champions League group stage next season fresh rumours regarding Simone's future as head coach have circulated pretty heavily. Given that this could very likely be his last game in charge of Lazio he will want to go out with a bang in front of the home crowd that has treated him so well.

Notable absentees

Basta, Berisha, Lukaku and Radu.

Bologna

The Rossoblu recently secured their top flight contract in stunning fashion and the Bologna faithful have one man to thank for that. Sinisa Mihajlovic.

Since the Croatian took over the reigns from Pippo Inzaghi Bologna have won 8, drawn 2 and lost 5 of their last 15 played which is hugely impressive when looking at the fact that Bologna had only managed to win a grand total of 2 games prior to Mihajlovic's summoning.

Bologna may have turned things around but their away record is still pretty atrocious seeing that they have lost 10 out of their 18 played away games leading me to think that this Lazio outfit might be a little too tough to crack.

Furthermore, seeing that their contract is secured, i'm not sure how vested Bologna will be knowing that they have nothing to play for and that coupled with the fact that it has been a long season the players know that they deserve the incoming vacation which could lead to a rather drab performance.

Notable absentees

Mattiello.
