LA Galaxy to make Minnesota see stars
The Dignity Health Sports Park is the setting for Los Angeles Galaxy's MLS Western Conference clash with Minnesota United on Wednesday evening. The hosts currently occupy a play-off berth whilst the visitors, though defensively solid, are way off the pace. Read our preview here:
Raheem the dream
Former Galaxy playing legend Greg Vanney has been tasked with leading the white half of the Californian metropolis to the play-offs as a bare minimum this year, which would constitute a big improvement over last season's eighth place finish. The head coach will be without six from his roster, including the evergreen Sacha Kjejstan. Canadian utility man Raheem Edwards faces an uphill battle to get back into national team contention, though the 26 year old has had a productive season this far from left-back, chipping in with three assists. Chicharito will continue to lead the line in a 4-2-3-1 and will look to add to his tally of six goals.
Emanuel on show
The Loons have narrowly lost their last three on the spin in the league, with goals hard to come by unless scored by Finnish forward Robin Lod, who could line up on the right side of an attacking midfield trip behind DP Luis Amarilla and alongside both Franco Fragapane and Emanuel Reynoso. The latter has been reasonably productive for ex-Burnley and Orlando City favourite Adrian Heath.
