Mexico to finish off South Korea
I’m not impressed in the slightest with South Korea’s performance against Sweden. I feel that the Koreans are almost in the same class as Saudi Arabia, and should consider themselves lucky that Sweden only won 1-0. It was total chaos in the South Korea defence as soon as Sweden got anywhere near the goal. Up top you could see how star player Son was extremely frustrated, surrounded by mediocre players nowhere near his level. Pass by pass was intercepted and there simply isn’t enough skill or resolve in the South Korean squad.
Mexico were extremely impressive in their opener against Germany
In complete contrast, Mexico were extremely impressive in their opener against Germany and now have a great opportunity to go into the last game at the top and with good goal difference to boot. They’ll most likely be able to score one more than Sweden at any rate, and will create a fair few chances against South Korea.
I’ve found an interesting bat with a little more spice to it with Ladbrokes. I’m betting on Mexico to to be winning at least one of the halves, to score more than 1.5 goals and to keep a clean sheet. A bit of a mouthful but when you compare their form from the first game and the difference in quality it looks like a good bet. I’m playing at 5/2 (3.50) odds with Ladbrokes.
