Salah to Bag a Goal
Russia meet Egypt on Tuesday night and it’s really do or die for both teams, with the winner likely to get through the group stage after this match. The bookies reckon that Russia are favourites to win this one, but for me there’s still some doubt in it.
In their first match Russia battered Saudi Arabia 5-0. Despite the scoreline I don’t really think Russia played all that well and it was more about Saudi Arabia being caught with their pants round their ankles. I don’t want to say the match was a foregone conclusion before it even got started, but something didn’t feel completely quite right. It’s hard to make a call on Russia’s quality just yet as Saudi Arabia aren’t a great team to measure anyone by.
I don’t see how he feasibly won’t score a goal
Egypt played well against Uruguay but they lacked that killer edge. Now, surely, they’ll start with Salah as they need to win this match. All that stands in Salah’s way is 34-year old Zhirkov and 38-year old Ignashevich. Something’s telling me they don’t have what it takes to keep up with Liverpool’s golden boy.
Salah is going to gallop like a horse down that wing with real intent and I don’t see how he feasibly won’t score a goal. That’s why I’m putting money on him bagging a goal in this match on decent odds of 2/1 (3.00) with Bethard.
