Germany to book final showdown with England
After England's emphatic win over Sweden last night, attention turns to the other semi-final of Euro 2022. Both Germany and France have quality throughout their ranks, and an almighty battle for the Wembley showdown this weekend is set to take place tonight at Stadium MK. Read our preview here:
Re-Brand-ing
Still to concede in the tournament, Die Nationalelf have swatted aside all comers, though head coach Martina Voss-Tecklenburg knows Wednesday evening's opposition will be by far their sternest test yet. She will be without wide forward Klara Bühl, but it will present an opportunity for the versatile Jule Brand to get in on the action.
Mbock's a hit
The most active players in the XI for Les Blueus could be the centre back pairing of Griedge Mbock and Wendie Renard, coming up against the likes of Brand, Alex Popp, and Svenja Huth. They kept a clean sheet in the quarter final in the two-hour endurance test against Netherlands, and a similar outcome would be a ringing endorsement of their ability to withstand the best the world has to offer.
Betting tip
Parimatch have odds of 2.37 for Germany to win in normal time.
