Liverpool to fill their boots at Fulham
Liverpool look to make a final push for the title when they face Fulham at Craven Cottage on Sunday. Expect the Reds to fill their boots in this one.
The stakes are rising
As the end of the season approaches the stakes in every game are rising. Liverpool may not have lost since January but they have failed to win four of their last seven matches. This really cranks the pressure up on Jurgen Klopp’s side as they head to London this weekend.
Some might say it is an ideal match for the Reds given that Fulham are lame ducks this season and are clearly heading back to the Championship but the Premier League is never that easy to predict.
That said, it is really hard to see Fulham getting much change out of a Liverpool side that have kept more clean-sheets than any other top flight team and one that clearly, with just 17 goals conceded, have the best defensive record in the Premier League.
Floundering Fulham
Only Huddersfield have less points than Fulham in the Premier League this season and it is, therefore, no surprise the White’s survival hopes are disappearing faster than a politician’s principals.
The Cottagers have lost six in a row and nine of the last 10 top flight games. They have conceded 15 times in the last six and have only kept two clean-sheets all season while also being on their third manager of the campaign.
Compare this to Liverpool and you can see why they are where they are.
Free scoring Liverpool
Liverpool may have been unable to win so readily recently but they have still managed to score more than three goals in each of the last four games that they have won.
The 4-3 victory against Crystal Palace saw Liverpool switch off near the end to concede an uncharacteristic three goals but they were phenomenal going forward which was even more evident in the 3-0 win over Bournemouth, the 5-0 thrashing of Watford and the 4-2 victory against Burnley.
Fulham's defence has been more leaky than the roof on a Ford Cortina convertible so it could be another high scoring affair for the Reds.
Betting tip
Liverpool will be going all out for the win as they try to keep the pressure on Manchester City, who are in FA Cup action on Saturday. Liverpool would go back to the top of the Premier League with a win and with their opponent really struggling it will be the perfect opportunity for Liverpool to fill their boots.
With that in mind, backing the Reds to score 4+ goals at odds of 5/2 makes perfect sense and why not add a ‘Liverpool to win to nil’ as well for good measure.

Liverpool did not have the best of games at Craven Cottage, failing to find their usual rhythm but, most importantly, they got the job done and picked up another three points.
