I Rossoneri's mini-revival
Milan come into this game off the back of an extremely important 2-1 win against Bologna meaning that they still have a chance of qualifying for next years Champions League group stage. Fiorentina on the other hand are already on summer vacation and are void of anything remotely positive. Can Milan use this to their advantage and abuse a dismal Fiorentina side?
Fiorentina
La viola are having a wretched time of things and have not won a game in 11 tries, since the 17th of February to be precise. Out of their last 9 home games 3 have ended in defeat and 6 in draws, what makes it worse is that most those defeats and draws come against teams on the lower end of the table, teams with much less quality than this underperforming Fiorentina side.
With the likes of Chiesa, Muriel, Simeone and Mirallas a lot was expected of the men in purple prior to the start of the season and they kicked it off pretty decently with 10 points out of a possible 15, however, their form has slowly but surely diminished over time leading them to todays horrendous form.
After watching their previous games it's obvious that they are already on vacation and i don't think anyone is expecting much of them.
Notable absentees
Pezzella, Pjaca and Veretout.
Milan
I Rossoneri had quite a brutal dip in form at the totally wrong time, it was smooth sailing for a while and Gattuso's men looked to be finishing in a top 4 position with relative ease until the derby loss to Inter unravelled them.
Milan have only managed to win 2 of their last 8 games and have lost 4 of them which has left them at an agonising 6th place, 3 points behind Atalanta in 4th and the last Champions League spot. However, their recent wins against Bologna and Lazio mean that they still have a good shot at finishing 4th with 3 games left to play and luckily for Milan, they are all against teams that have absolutely nothing to play for.
The acquisition of Piatek has been huge for the Milanese side, the Polak has so far scored 21 goals this season but has unfortunately, as with Milan as a whole, hit a rut in recent times. Despite not having scored in 4 games the forward's presence can be felt and since they are going up against a shabby Fiorentina side i expect him, and Milan as a whole to find their groove again.
Notable absentees
Bonaventura, Calabria, Caldara and Paqueta.
Betting tip
Since Fiorentina are horrendous and Milan have a lot to play for i am backing a Milan win at the fine odds of 137/100 with Bet265.
