Switzerland won't roll over in England friendly
England host Switzerland in an international friendly at Wembley early on Saturday evening. Both teams have already qualified for the World Cup, with the visitors beating out Italy for top spot in their pool, only to see Gil Azzurri subsequently fail once more, this time against North Macedonia in midweek. These games tend to be tight, low-scoring affairs, and there's little reason to believe that will change. Read our preview here:
King Kyle
Gareth Southgate has seen many prospective members of the squad withdraw through injury, which has precipitated a whole slew of last minute replacements. One of these is Kyle Walker-Peters. The Southampton player has mainly been deployed at left-back because of Tino Livramento's form this term, but should be on the opposite flank if he does indeed make his international bow. Tyrick Mitchell could make his debut, too.
Commander Gregor
Gregor Kobel is set to line up between the sticks for Murat Yakin's side. The Borussia Dortmund custodian is third choice normally for the national team, but with injuries to both Yann Sommer and Philipp Köhn, he is set to deputise. Breel Embolo will plough a lone furrow up top, where he'll be most closely supported by the evergreen Xherdan Shaqiri.
Betting tip
The withdrawals for both teams will affect the overall spectacle of the game, and Casumo's odds of 3.35 for a draw seem very favourable.
