England to get second win from two in tight affair
England will welcome Norway to the Amex Stadium in Brighton on Monday evening, confident of a second win in the group stage that would also see the Euro 2022 hosts seal passage through to the knock-out rounds with a game to spare. However, Gresshoppene are not to be underestimated. Read our preview here:
Kirby in dreamland
Having won the opener against Austria in effective but unspectacular style, Sarina Wiegman will be demanding a little more finesse and the same outcome here. Chelsea wizard Fran Kirby was arguably player of the match in the curtain-raiser, and in what promises to be another keenly fought contest, her vision with the ball will be crucial in between the lines. Manchester City's Kiera Walsh will shut down the turnovers as part of an unchanged double pivot alongside Georgia Stanway.
Nothing sloppy from Hansen
Martin Sjögren's women predictably swept Northern Ireland aside by a three-goal margin in their first fixture, which also saw four different players get on the scoresheet, none of whom were superstar Ada Hegerberg. Caroline Graham Hansen put away the third from the penalty spot, and the versatile attack-minded Barcelona schemer will be hoping for more of the same from open play whilst trying to drag the bank of two protecting the Lionesses' rearguard out of position for her teammates to exploit the vacated spaces.
